 Dr. Bethany Reed Hairston, Director of The Dermatology Clinic and a Board Certified Dermatologist, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Ole Miss, Dr. Hairston attended The University of Mississippi School of Medicine, where she graduated 4th in her class and was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society. She trained in preliminary medicine at University Medical Center in Jackson and then completed her residency training in Dermatology at The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota where she was awarded the Paul A. O’Leary Award for Clinical Excellence. Currently on staff at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in her hometown of Columbus, Mississippi, Dr. Hairston enjoys a diverse dermatologic practice at The Dermatology Clinic. Dr. Hairston is well known for her caring bedside manner and thorough approach to all aspects of dermatology including general, surgical, and aesthetic services. She lives in Columbus with her husband and three children.
 Receptionists Debbie Gore and Johnnie Hailey greet patients with a sincere welcome. Their tasks include obtaining insurance information and demographic data on our patients. They are also the persons you will reach when telephoning the clinic. Both Debbie and Johnnie schedule appointments and are well-educated on all of the skincare products offered at The Dermatology Clinic. Business Manager Pam Poston has been working in the medical field in the area of insurance and billing for years. Her expertise allows The Dermatology Clinic to work well with insurance carriers and Medicare. Pam also oversees all business aspects of the practice. Nurses Leah Williams, LPN, and Anne Clemmons, RN, have been trained in medical and cosmetic dermatology for several years. Their expertise allows Dr. Hairston to function very efficiently as a dermatologist treating a variety of skin conditions. Both Leah and Anne have excellent people skills and are trained in all aspects of dermatologic nursing. Laser specialist Carmen Rowe, M.A., is trained in Cynosure and Cutera laser systems. Carmen and Dr. Hairston work closely together to offer patients exciting laser treatments. Skincare specialist Anna Shelton assists patients in our fantastic products including Obagi®, DermaVita, Elta MD®, and many others. Licensed Aesthetician Sarah Harrelson provides both relaxing facials and result based treatments. Her menu of services includes chemical peels, Dermasweep®, facials, and much more. |
