Dr. Bethany Reed Hairston, Director of The Dermatology Clinic and a Board Certified Dermatologist, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Ole Miss, Dr. Hairston attended The University of Mississippi School of Medicine, where she graduated 4th in her class and was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society.
She trained in preliminary medicine at University Medical Center in Jackson and then completed her residency training in Dermatology at The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota where she was awarded the Paul A. O’Leary Award for Clinical Excellence.
Currently on staff at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in her hometown of Columbus, Mississippi, Dr. Hairston enjoys a diverse dermatologic practice at The Dermatology Clinic.
Dr. Hairston is well known for her caring bedside manner and thorough approach to all aspects of dermatology including general, surgical, and aesthetic services. She lives in Columbus with her husband and three children.
In July 2011, she was awarded as one of the Top 50 businesswomen in Mississippi.
Dr. Anna Lister Woodson is a Board Certified Dermatologist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
She was born in Greenwood, Mississippi and grew up in Brandon, Mississippi.
After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Louisiana State University, Dr. Woodson attended the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. She received her Pediatric residency training at the University of Mississippi and spent one year in private pediatric practice in Jackson, Mississippi. She then completed her residency training in Dermatology at Vanderbilt University.
Dr. Woodson recently moved to Columbus with her husband and two children.
Nurse practitioner Kala White, a native of Columbus, joined The Dermatology Clinic in February of 2012. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Mississippi Medical Center and her Master of Science in Nursing from Mississippi University for Women. Kala is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the Mississippi Board of Nursing. Kala is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Society of Dermatology Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, Mississippi Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing. Kala has a special interest in treating acne and rosacea, with a goal to improve appearance and self esteem. Acne is managed with a comprehensive approach, and an anti-acne regimen is individualized for every patient. Kala also treats patients with psoriasis, eczema, occupational dermatitis, and other skin conditions.
